About the Journal

This journal was established in the academic year (1989 – 1990) by a decision of the Board of Trustees in its second meeting on February 11, 1990, under the name: Journal of the College of Islamic and Arabic Studies (A Peer-Reviewed Intellectual and Cultural Islamic Journal).

It has been described since issue (18) as a peer-reviewed intellectual Islamic journal.

From issue (28) to issue (56), it was known as a peer-reviewed scientific journal.

Since the academic year (2018 – 2019) starting from issue (57), it underwent a name change, becoming known as Al Wasl University Journal of Islamic and Arabic Studies, a semi-annual peer-reviewed scientific journal. From issue 60, it became Al Wasl University Journal.

The journal is regularly issued, with the first issue released in 1410 AH corresponding to 1990 CE, until now.

Indexed in the Ulrich’s International Periodicals Directory under number 157016.

The journal aims to publish authentic and innovative scientific research that contributes to enriching the intellectual environment, enhancing research capabilities, and promoting positive thinking, which contributes to nation-building and achieving progress and advancement.

Journal Objectives:

    • To contribute to the dissemination of authentic scientific knowledge in the field of Islamic and Arabic studies.

    • To provide rigorous scientific treatment of contemporary issues and events.

    • To contribute to enriching the intellectual environment, enhancing research capabilities, and promoting positive thinking through the publication of high-quality, original, modern, and innovative scientific research.

Journal Focus Areas:

The journal publishes scientific research in humanities and social sciences in three languages: Arabic, English, and French; whether edited or translated, provided that the research is original, innovative, objective, comprehensive, and deep, and does not contradict Islamic values, after being reviewed by referees outside the editorial board according to established scientific principles.
