The College of Arts has earned this prestigious position and esteemed status since its inception by His Excellency Juma Al Majid in the academic year 1986-1987. It has continuously progressed towards its desired goals, making significant strides in the competitive arena of civilization through its educational programs, scientific activities, and research publications that adhere to high-quality standards and ambitious strategic planning.
At the undergraduate level, the College of Arts offers two programs: Arabic Language and Literature, an ancient and prestigious program, and Library and Information Science, a unique program in its specialization and the first of its kind in the flourishing United Arab Emirates. At the master’s level, the college offers two programs: one specializing in literary and critical studies, and the other in linguistic studies. At the doctoral level, the College of Arts offers two programs: one specializing in linguistic studies, and the other in literary and critical studies.
In addition to the university’s contributions to enriching the scientific research environment with international conferences, peer-reviewed scientific journals, published theses, and printed books, the college boasts distinguished faculty members and talented students.
