Dear Students,

I would like to welcome you to the General Education Unit at Al Wasl University in Dubai. We aim to prepare educated, qualified, and skilled university students who can participate responsibly in Emirati society and the communities in which they work. We achieve this by providing an outstanding education that emphasizes interaction and engagement in the learning process, creating a state of cultural and intellectual integration among students from different disciplines and colleges.

The courses offered by the unit are designed to achieve this goal through a variety of courses that focus on developing students’ skills in effective communication (in both Arabic and English), gathering, analyzing, and using information, as well as proficiency in various computer programs. The courses also cover leadership, creativity, environmental preservation, public health, ethical behavior, and enhancing students’ knowledge of their religion, culture, and history, to participate effectively in the cultural diversity of their homeland.

The Unit’s teaching staff consists of competent and highly experienced teachers and professors who work diligently to help students improve their academic level. They provide students with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to excel in their studies.
