Admission Criteria for the Postgraduate Programs
First: Master’s Program Applicants:
Candidates must achieve a cumulative GPA of at least 3.00 out of 4.00 in their bachelor’s degree in Islamic studies or Arabic language from an accredited college or university. Conditional acceptance may be granted with a GPA not falling below 2.00 for related specializations.
– (Good): Referred to the scientific department committee.
– (Good Low 2.0 – 2.49): Remedial courses are required, along with additional tuition fees.
– (Good High 2.5 – 2.99): Conditional acceptance into the preliminary year, contingent upon achieving a very good average in the preliminary year and the first semester.
Second: Doctoral Program Applicants:
A cumulative GPA of at least 3/4 in the bachelor’s (or master’s) degree in Islamic studies or Arabic language from an accredited college or university.
Third: General Conditions for All Applicants:
- Certificates must be certified or equivalent by the UAE Ministry of Education.
- Successful completion of a scientific interview.
- English language proficiency certificate with minimum scores:
– Master’s: EmSAT 950, IELTS 4.5, TOEFL 450.
– PhD: EmSAT 1100, IELTS 5.00, TOEFL 500.
- Accredited certificate in computer basics.
- EmSAT certificate in Arabic language with a score of 1100.
Required Documents:
- Fill in the registration application form via the university’s website.
- Copies of passport, identity card, family book (for citizens), and residency permit for non-citizens.
- Certified copy of the bachelor’s degree for master’s program applicants.
- Certified copy of the master’s degree for doctoral program applicants.
- Letter of termination of national service or a no-objection certificate from the National and Reserve Service Authority (for UAE citizens).
- Four personal photos.
- Medical examination certificate.
- Good conduct certificate.
- Proof of tuition fee payment.
- The university reserves the right to request additional documents.
