Al Wasl University, in collaboration with the Higher Colleges of Technology, launched a Program in Dubai on (16/09/2013). The second branch was opened in the Emirate of Fujairah on (23/02/2014), in response to the “Absher” initiative launched by the late Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan – may Allah have mercy on him – with the generous support of Mr. Juma Al Majid and under the keen follow-up of the University Chancellor to prepare and qualify national cadres, particularly female high school graduates, by equipping them with practical and applied skills to enter the labor market competently and confidently.
The educational process in this program has been successful from the very beginning to the present day, with a total of 1,321 female graduates from both branches since its inception.
Most of these graduates have assumed important positions in both the public and private sectors, not to mention those who have enrolled in Higher Colleges of Technology to obtain a Bachelor’s Degree, supported by Mr. Juma Al Majid who generously provides a monthlyfinancial grant of two thousand dirhams to continue their university education.
The previous period of this program has witnessed a significant development in teaching skills, such as (communication skills in Arabic and English, computer skills, mathematics, and various other work skills). As a result, graduates of this program now possess sufficient knowledge and skills in their chosen scientific specialization, which they have studied and trained in during their studies, qualifying them for fair competition in the labor market. Some of these specializations include Office Management, Human resources, Customer Service, and Information Technology.
We hope that the graduates of this program will become beacons in the sky of the United Arab Emirates, benefiting from training in various institutions and fields to integrate into the labor market and meet its requirements.
