Al Wasl University, in cooperation with the Higher Colleges of Technology, launched the INJAZ Program in the Emirate of Dubai on (16/09/2013), and the second branch was opened in the Emirate of Fujairah on (23/02/2014). The program came in response to the “Absher” initiative launched by the late Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, may Allah bless his soul, and with the generous support of Mr. Juma Al Majid, and with the active follow-up of His Excellency – the University Chancellor to prepare and qualify national cadres of female citizens who have a high school qualification to provide them with practical and applied skills required for the labor market.

    The program was launched successfully. The number of graduates from the two branches since its inception reached (1321).

    Most of these graduates now occupy important seats in the public and private sectors, not to mention those who joined the Higher Colleges of Technology to obtain a bachelor’s degree within the framework of the encouragement and generous support of Mr. Juma Al Majid by allocating a monthly financial grant of two thousand dirhams to continue their university education.

    The program has witnessed a vast improvement in its curricula, such as: (communication skills in Arabic and English, computer skills, mathematics, and other various work-related skills). This improvement ensures the program graduate has sufficient information and skills in her chosen specialization to qualify her for fair competition in the labor market. The specializations include: (Office Management, Human Resources, Customer Service, and Information Technology).

We hope that the graduates of this program will highly achieve, and benefit from training in various institutions and fields to engage in the labor market and meet its requirements.

  Program Objectives

The Injaz Work Readiness Program is designed to help you develop the work skills necessary to achieve your career goals. It helps fill the soft skills gap and enables those enrolled in the program to perform better in the work environment since the goal is not only employment but job retention where graduates acquire professional and productive skills and are adaptable to the demands of the labor market. Graduates of INJAZ receive full support from Al Wasl University to secure employment opportunities for graduates. An additional Internship course is designed to suit the career opportunities in both the private and public sectors.

Study system in the program:

  • The duration of the program is four semesters, each is 18 weeks long.
  • Throughout the study period, program candidates acquire a set of training skills.
  • Program candidates undergo an intensive number of specialized courses that suit the labor market and have been included in the requirements of the academic year 2017/2018.

 Training Skills:

First: Training skills in the first and second semesters:

  • Communication skills in Arabic.
  • Communication skills in English.
  • Math skills.
  • Computer skills.
  • Various business skills.

Second: specializations begin from the third semester by choosing one of the following:

  • Office Management (OM)
  • Information Technology (IT)
  • Customer Service (CS)
  • Human Resources (HR)

Program Specializations

First: Information Technology (IT):

This specialization provides the student with the knowledge, skills, and specialized tools to work in technical support for information technology offices in different departments, where the graduate has the necessary skills to manage social networking sites, organize contents, enter data, help in managing electronic projects through the MS Project  program and assist in technical support

Second Customer Service (CS):

This specialization provides the student with the knowledge, skills, and specialized tools to work in the field of customer service and activate their role in modern institutions, to achieve the goals of institutions efficiently and effectively. This program opens the door for employment to participants in various job roles in the service and customer service sector such as customer service representative, front desk agent, call center, guest service agent in the hospitality industry, technical support specialist, and customer service manager.

Third: Office Management (OM):

This specialization provides the student with the knowledge, skills, and specialized tools to work in an office with administrative duties and responsibilities and activate their role in modern institutions, to achieve the goals of institutions efficiently and effectively. This program opens the door for employment for graduate students in various roles in office management such as reception, call center, administrative assistant, executive secretary, personal assistant, and office manager in various UAE industries.

 Fourth: Human Resources (HR):

This specialization provides the student with the knowledge, skills, and specialized tools to work in human resources management and activate their role in modern institutions, to achieve the goals of institutions efficiently and effectively. This program opens the door for employment for graduate students in different types of HR jobs such as HR Assistant and HR Officer, HR Development Assistant Officer, HR Compensation and Benefits Assistant Officer, and HR Training and Development Assistant Officer.

 Program Certificate:

Upon the completion of program requirements, the graduate will be awarded a certificate of “Achievement in Qualifying for the Labor Market”. The graduate is also eligible to complete university studies at the Higher Colleges of Technology, provided that she obtains a minimum of (Band 5 Academic IELTS).

To encourage the program to continue enrolling in her university studies, an amount of (2000) dirhams has been allocated per month for each student enrolled in the Higher Colleges of Technology.
